1. Are There Any Country Restrictions for Spotify?
Our Spotify family plan is based in Nigeria. When you join the family group, you will need to use an IP address from Nigeria and change your Spotify region to Nigeria. Please consider carefully if you are not comfortable with this.
If you don't have a Nigerian IP, you can contact customer service via the icon in the bottom right corner, providing your Spotify account username and password, and our team will help you change the region and accept the family group invitation.
2. How do I Change My Spotify Region?
First, open your VPN tool and set your IP location to Nigeria.
Desktop or Web Version:
- Go to the Spotify website and log into your account.
- Click the profile icon in the top right corner, and select "Account."
- In the account page, find the "Profile" section.
- Click "Edit Profile."
- In the "Country/Region" section, select "Nigeria" from the drop-down menu.
- Click "Save" to complete the change.
Mobile (iOS/Android):
- Open the Spotify app and log in.
- Tap the gear icon in the top right to access settings.
- In the settings menu, tap "Account."
- Select "Account Page," then open the account page in your browser.
- Follow the desktop instructions to modify your country or region.
3. Will Changing the Country/Region Affect My Spotify Playlists?
Your existing playlists won't be affected, but your song recommendations might change based on your new region. These will adjust over time as you use the service.
4. Are There Differences in Spotify's Music Library Across Countries?
Yes, different countries have slightly different music libraries, but overall, they are quite similar.
5. Can I Change My Country/Region Again After Joining the Family Group?
You cannot change your country/region while a member of the family group. After the subscription ends, you can change your country/region once a year.
6. Are There Any Other Restrictions for Using Spotify?
Spotify allows you to join only one family group per year. Please confirm if you have joined another family group in the past year. If you have, we suggest using a different account to join our family group after purchase. Please consider carefully if you are not comfortable with this.
